ACBSP Welcomes Twenty Colleges and Universities into Membership

OVERLAND PARK, KS, USA (September 28, 2012) Since the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) began its 2012-13 membership year in July, 19 colleges and universities from nine countries have joined as new members. Six of those campuses have begun the accreditation process and are now candidates for ACBSP accreditation. ACBSP is the only organization offering accreditation to all levels of collegiate business programs from associate to baccalaureate to doctoral degree programs.

"We have experienced record membership growth during the past three years, with more than 52 members joining each year.” said ACBSP Executive Director Douglas Viehland. "We are proud that these educational institutions are now a part of our membership and we look forward to working with them toward a mutual goal of continuous quality improvement.”


ACBSP’s mission is to promote continuous improvement and recognize excellence in the accreditation of business education programs around the world. ACBSP is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as a specialized accreditation agency for business education. ACBSP currently has 1,134 member campuses, 167 of which are located outside of the U.S. Of those campuses, 572 have achieved accreditation and more than 485 are in candidacy for accreditation. Individual members on these campuses now exceed 10,000.
