PHOENIX, July 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- A 10-year reaffirmation of accreditation for nine University of Phoenix business programs in the School of Business and School of Advanced Studies has been granted by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), a leading specialized accreditation body for business education.
ACBSP accreditation reaffirms the University's commitment as one of the leading providers of career-relevant, higher education offerings for working adults and permits the University to continue to host a chapter of Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society that recognizes the academic accomplishments of business students. On June 10, ACBSP recognized University of Phoenix for the reaffirmation at the annual ACBSP Conference in Kansas City, Mo.
The following business degree programs received ACBSP programmatic accreditation:
School of Business
School of Advanced Studies
"Through the ACBSP accreditation, the quality of University of Phoenix's program offerings are continuously benchmarked to ensure the relevancy of program offerings to help educationally prepare students for today's business careers and the careers of the future," said Dennis Bonilla, executive dean for the School of Business, College of Information Systems and Technology and College of Criminal Justice. "The Schools are proud to continue to meet the high standards of exceptional educational offerings that demonstrate University of Phoenix's continued commitment to academic performance."
"The University's Doctor of Business Administration and Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership are strong programs for those in the business world looking to begin the doctoral journey," said Hinrich Eylers, vice provost and executive dean of the School of Advanced Studies. "We're proud that the ACBSP recognizes our commitment to the quality of these programs."
The ACBSP Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners first accredited University of Phoenix business programs in 2007 and accounting programs in 2009. In order to maintain accredited status, University of Phoenix is required to undergo the reaffirmation process every 10 years.
ACBSP was established in 1988 and is the first and only organization to offer specialized business accreditation at all degree levels. To learn more about ACBSP, please visit: www.acbsp.org.
