IV – Strength -The business unit shows responsiveness to stakeholder input and market demands in their programming. This is evident in the addition of many majors and concentrations at the urging of the advisory board and the unique blended program that allows for early completion of the MBA and the attainment of 156 hours for pre-CPA students.
2.1 – Strength – The business unit has a detailed and systematic approach to creating a strategic plan that includes communication with the faculty and external stakeholders through the advisory council. This approach will help ensure the consistent revision of the strategic plan and the monitoring of achievement of strategic objectives.
2.2.b – Strength – The business unit has set clear performance measures to track each of the unit’s strategic objectives. Defining such performance measures will help the business unit monitor the achievement of strategic objectives through measurable indicators of progress and take corrective actions when and if needed.
4.1.a - Strength The Business Unit demonstrates a well-documented student learning outcomes assessment process that aligns program-level outcomes with the institutional mission and school purpose. The institution uses tools such as the major field test and internship evaluations to gather assessment data. This data is systematically reviewed, analyzed, and discussed to inform improvements at the program and school levels. The recent appointment of the Director of Assessment and Accreditation is a positive step toward enhancing their assessment processes.
5.1.A. – Strength - The faculty’s qualifications and expertise are an asset to the business unit. In alignment with Standard 5.1.A., a strong mix of academically and professionally qualified faculty ensures that students receive high- quality, industry-relevant instruction.
5.3.A. – Strength - In accordance with Standard 5.3.A, the business unit, despite high advising and administrative duties, has successfully expanded faculty size and strengthened its community and business relations. Notably, the recent hiring of an additional full-time faculty member, with plans for further expansion, showcases institutional commitment to faculty development and overall department growth.
6.2.a. – Strength – The business unit demonstrates a proactive approach to maintaining course quality by using a structured process to identify and address instructional concerns, aligning with the expectations outlined in Standard 6.2.a.
7.1.c – Strength The Business Unit offers a robust range of education support processes to promote student success. These include access to library resources, computer labs, tutoring services, academic advising, streamlined registration processes, and a well-equipped bookstore. These support services ensure that students have the necessary academic resources and guidance to excel in their studies and achieve their educational goals.
7.2.b – Strength - The Business Unit demonstrates a strong commitment to operational excellence by systematically monitoring business operation processes, as evidenced in Table 7.1.b. Through data-driven analysis, the institution ensures continuous improvement in areas such as student headcount, and faculty advising. This structured approach enhances decision-making, optimizes institutional effectiveness, and supports student success.
