NSU Hosts IAA Seminar

DHAKA: The School of Business of North South University hosted an International Accreditation Awareness Seminar at NSU campus in city’s Baridhara area on Saturday.
 
The aim of the seminar was to raise awareness of business schools of Bangladesh on the procedures of accreditation, a process designed to improve and assure the quality of a program or institution.
 
The seminar was completed successfully and saw participation from vice chancellors, Business School Dean, administrative heads and professors from across South Asia and University Grants Commission (UGC) representatives.
 
The School of Business of North South University aims to obtain accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), a renowned USA-based body offering accreditation service to business programs.
 
NSU School of Business has already achieved the ACBSP Candidacy Award. The dignitaries who addressed the seminar included Executive Director, ACBSP, Douglas Viehland; Professor and Director, Apeejay School of Management, Dr Alok Saklani; Chairman, Board of Trustees, North South University Benjir Ahmed, VC of NSU Professor Amin Sarkar; Consultant, Educational Quality of NSU Professor Dr Bijoy K Sahoo; and Dean, School of Business of the university Dr M Mahboob Rahman.
