Dr. Dewayne Thompson, chair of the Department of Business at Lee University, has assumed the office of chair of the 2016-17 Board of Directors for the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, the only global accrediting body to accredit business, accounting, and business-related programs at all degree levels. The announcement was made at the ACBSP Annual Conference held in Atlanta. Dr. Thompson began his one-year term at the conclusion of that conference.
“I am both humbled and excited to chair the ACBSP Board of Directors as we serve our 13,000 members around the world,” said Dr. Thompson. “ACBSP aims to provide confidence to students who attend ACBSP-accredited programs that they will receive a quality business education. Working with an organization that shares my core values and purpose is an incredible opportunity.”
